The use of urinary catheterization kit
1. Medical staff shall clean and disinfect their hands, and select appropriate urinary catheterization kits according to clinical needs;
2. In the supine position of the patient, open the catheterization package between the legs of the patient, use the sterile holding forceps to open the inner therapeutic towel of the catheterization package, and pick up the items used;
3, wear sterile gloves, perineum and urethral mouth disinfection;
4, spread the towel, check whether the catheter is unobstructed, whether the balloon leakage phenomenon;
5. Fully lubricate the catheter, gently and slowly insert the catheter into the urethra with hemostatic forceps;
6. If there is urine outflow, insert the catheter again 2-3cm, and inject the catheter balloon into 10ml normal saline for fixation;
7. Connect the catheter to the drainage bag, and the catheter bag has been used.
If urine culture is required, use a sterile specimen bottle or test tube, cover the bottle and place in place. After catheterization, wrap the catheter with gauze and pull it out to clean and disinfect the patient.
